The 2019 Kia Soul Earns Kelly Blue Book's Coveted "5-Year Cost to Own" Award

When you're looking for your next car, there's a lot of different things you'll likely consider. One of the most important factors is, undoubtedly, the value it brings to your life. Value goes beyond things like horsepower and features, though. Value, for many drivers, is also about how your car helps you save. That's one area where the 2019 Kia Soul shines.

In fact, the Soul does such a good job of saving its driver money, that it recently earned Kelly Blue Book's 5-Year Cost to Own award for the compact car segment. Given to vehicles that deliver a high level of value, the 5-Year Cost to Own award is a sign that drivers can expect to save when they drive a car. The Soul won the award thanks to its solid fuel numbers and low depreciation.

Speaking about the award, Kia executives were understandably happy to see the Soul recognized. “Value is a cornerstone of the Kia brand, and so offering a low cost of ownership to our customers is important to us,” commented Orth Hedrick, Ki's executive director of Car Planning and Telematics. “[The Soul] has many positives, one of which is its budget-friendliness. It’s an honor to be recognized for being value-driven by Kelley Blue Book, a respected source for auto industry news and information.”

One of the driving forces of the Kia lineup for several years, the Kia Soul offers a compact experience grounded in comfort and affordability.
